Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal fell to a disappointing friendly defeat at the hands of Ecuador, whose spirited display earned them a 3-2 victory.
Manchester United man Valencia opened the scoring after just two minutes but it didn't take long for Portugal to reply from none other than star-man Cristiano Ronaldo.
CR7's goal was superbly executed after a great touch from Coentrao. Ronaldo then dragged the ball back skillfully before blasting into the net in the 23rd minute.
Portugal went on to lose the game despite having taken the lead through Postiga and Ronaldo was withdrawn in the second period. There was a lot less threat and cutting-edge about Portugal's attack after Ronaldo was taken off which will cause coach Paulo Bento some worry.
