Real Madrid 4 Sevilla 1 - Amazing Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick

Cristiano Ronaldo was in devastating form ahead of Real Madrid's big Champions League match on Wednesday as he scored a hat-trick including one of the goals of the season in a 4-1 win over Sevilla.

Real Madrid looked lively and creative from the start, qualities that seemed to have been lacking in recent games.

The home side took the lead on the 18th minute after Ronaldo's superb cross was almost turned in as an own goal. Instead, Benzema was on the line to finish perhaps the easiest goal of his career to date.

Real's second came from Cristiano Ronaldo and will long live in the memory of the Bernabeu faithful. It was CR7 at his absolute best. In the 26th minute, Ronaldo jinked outside the box and his quick step over created a yard of space. He struck devastatingly from distance as the ball flew into the bottom corner. It was a superb strike and worthy of one of the world's finest players.

Ronaldo added a second immediately after the restart of the second period. He drove forward at pace and scored with a fantastic low strike into the corner. Ronaldo was clearly enjoying his football.

His hat-trick arrived in the 59th minute after he started a quick counter-attack from Real's own box. Higuain's cross was perfectly executed and Ronaldo's tap-in went off the post and in.

Ronaldo was withdrawn minutes later to a standing ovation as a precautionary measure ahead of Real Madrid's match with Manchester United on Wednesday.

Sevilla got one back after the dismissal of Higuain and Maduro for second yellow cards. It was through Del Moral in the 87th minute which was convincingly struck beyond Diego Lopez.
