Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show in Real Madrid's emphatic 4-0 victory tonight over Celta Vigo to book a place in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey.
Ronaldo was brilliant from start to finish and scored a hat-trick in a statement that he will be there or thereabouts again for the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or.
Ronaldo opened up the scoring with a rocket after just two minutes. Receiving a throw in on the edge of the box, Ronaldo took a few touches before unleashing a devastating curling strike into the corner.
Ronaldo doubled Real's lead in the 24th minute after racing on to a Luka Modric through-ball and finishing clinically.
He scored his hat-trick in the 87th minute when Higuain's pass fell into his path. Ronaldo dribbled towards goal at speed and unleashed an unstoppable low drive.
Khedira got a fourth for Real after a clever one-two.
