Real Madrid recorded another La Liga victory as their form is beginning to improve significantly, however an early red card for Sergio Ramos made it more difficult than anticipated.
Real Madrid started the game at a blistering pace as the opener game from youngster Alvaro Morata in the 3rd minute.
Real's lead was doubled in the 12th minute through defender Sergio Ramos who was then dismissed just minutes later for a second yellow card.
Cristiano Ronaldo was fairly quiet throughout and failed to exert his usual stamp on the match.
Rayo Vallecano should have scored at least one and caused 10-man Real Madrid all sorts of problems at the back, however it was Los Blancos who prevailed ultimately.
